Most recently, Marcos led Corporate Development at Semrush, where he played a key role in the company's strategic acquisitions and, most notably, the landmark $1.9 billion sale of Semrush to Adobe — one of the defining exits in the SaaS space.

He led efforts across sourcing, negotiations, and deal execution, including acquisitions such as Ryte, Exploring Topics, Third Door Media, and TopicRanker, helping shape Semrush's product and market position through each transaction.

Prior to Semrush, he built his career in the startup ecosystem, advising early-stage and growth-stage companies on fundraising and debt raising. He successfully closed rounds from both financial investors and strategic players, including a notable fundraise with Embraer.
